“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
HOPE is a ministry to women who have lost babies due to miscarriage, stillbirth or early-infant death. HOPE represents:
- H – Healing
- O – Openness
- P – Prayer
- E – Encouragement
Women are connected with a mentor with whom they can talk in confidence about their feelings and emotions after the death of their child. Mentors have also experienced the loss of a child and can help those in the throes of grief by listening to them, crying with them and teaching them coping skills. In situations such as these, it’s often easy for women to find themselves dealing with many emotions ranging from anger to doubt, and even guilt. Mentors in this ministry will utilize their experiences, coupled with their faith and the truth teachings of the Bible to help others find comfort in the midst of a storm.
