Types of Services
Assessment and/or Referral
Needs are determined and treatment recommendations offered according to each individual client’s life situation, personal history and current issues.
Clients meet with a counselor for one-on-one assistance in dealing with life issues. Sessions vary in length.
Marital and Family Counseling
Spouses and/or other family members are involved together with a trained counselor in learning to develop healthy relationships as God intended.
Integration of biblical truths and psychological principles
CCC counselors have received training at seminaries or institutions with an integration model. This means that problems and health can be explored in terms of physical, emotional, cognitive, social, and spiritual aspects.
This unique 3-way process is designed to address emotional wounds with biblical and experiential truth. Counselor assessment determines if this approach is suitable. Sessions typically average 2 hours in length.
Children communicate their thoughts and feeling through play more naturally than they do through verbal communication. The aim of this method of therapy for young children is to decrease behavioral and emotional difficulties that interfere significantly with normal functioning.
CCC has a licensed psychologist on the team who can administer Myers Briggs and the Strong Interest Inventory to assess for possible career placement. These tests will be administered at CCC and interpreted by the psychologist. This assessment is best for young adults who are of college age or adults who are perhaps looking to change careers.
CCC does offer an internship for those students who are in graduate programs in the field of Counseling/Psychology that require practicum or internships as a part of their curriculum. This is an unpaid position that allows the student to grow in the knowledge and practice of counseling. CCC is limited in the number of interns it can have at one time, thus, this is a highly sought after position and interviews will be conducted. Our internships for 2014 are now full. Please check back with us in 2015. For more information, you may contact David Dixon through email.
