Genesis Inductive Bible Study: on Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Joseph

We will begin the study with Abraham, who was called "the friend of God." What can you learn from him that will ground your faith, challenge your walk, and give you hope for the future, so that you can be called a friend of the FAITHFUL GOD? Next we will zoom into the life of Isaac and Jacob and see how God can guide our faith, helping us see His purposes in our lives. Then, as we study the life of Joseph,  we  will see what it looks like to keep our focus when dreams are shattered.  You will be enriched as you dig into God’s word through the lives of the Patriarchs and Joseph.

Awaken: A Study for Mothers of Preschoolers and Elementary-Age Children - No Other Gods: Confronting Our Modern-Day Idols

“What matters most to you? your life revolves around your deepest needs and greatest treasures: relationships, family, financial security, hopes and dreams.” Most of these desires are healthy. Yet these longings can become passions we not only pursue, but also worship. They can consume our hearts and minds, competing with  God’s rightful place in our lives. No Other Gods offers a revealing look at the heart of a woman. Author Kelly Minter explores what happens when good desires become false gods, robbing us of an intimate relationship with our Heavenly Father.

Why Salty? We hear it so often, the cry to be “sweet”. The cry to be “sugar”. Sugar and Spice and Everything nice…that’s what little girls are made of… But Jesus says, we are salt. Jesus calls us to be Salty. Jesus wants us to lead a life of flavor and purpose. Jesus wants our lives to make other people thirsty for Living Water. Our lives should be leading people straight to Jesus. We are supposed to be poured out and purposeful. Come shake things up and take a look at your life, and get a little salty. Come find out what Jesus meant by being salt. Your life will start to taste a whole lot better.Jesus told us, the followers of Christ are the salt of the earth (Matthew 5:13). What does it mean to live out salty living when you are just a mom, wife, homemaker, widower, empty nester with no special talents or resources. Come and join the 8 weeks of faith journey where you will look at the scripture and learn to live out Salty Living- Life of Flavor and Purpose where you are. A Woman’s Heart: God’s Dwelling Place by Beth Moore

Perhaps no Old Testament event so dramatically illustrates God's persistent desire to relate to His children as the building of the tabernacle in the wilderness. Through the tabernacle God initiated a deeper relationship with His Chosen People by bringing reconciliation and revealing His glory. And certainly, no Old Testament event so richly prefigures the coming of the true Tabernacle, Jesus Christ. In this Bible study you will be challenged to prepare your heart, like the holy of holies, to become a home for His love and glory — a dwelling place for the Most High God. This study will be offered on Tuesday mornings in 2015 Winter/Spring and recommend for mothers with 3rd-6th graders. CarmelKidz Summer camp for 3rd-6th graders will learn Tabernacle.
