Nicole is a Licensed Professional Counselor in North Carolina and passionate about walking alongside others to assist them in finding hope and healing.
Nicole received a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill in 2007 and a master's degree in Couple and Family Counseling from the University of North Carolina- Greensboro in 2010. She has experience helping children, teens, adults, and couples in a variety of areas including grief and loss, anxiety, self-image, parenting, life transitions, trauma, depression, and relational conflict. Nicole began counseling as an Intensive In-Home therapist for NC Mentor in Greensboro, NC where she helped children, teens, and their families navigate emotional and behavioral difficulties. She also served as an outpatient therapist for NC Mentor where she completed training in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy. At Safe Alliance in Charlotte, she served adults, couples, teens, families, and children as an outpatient therapist.
Nicole uses an integrative approach combining a biblical worldview and psychological principles such as cognitive-behavioral therapy and family systems techniques. When working with children, Nicole utilizes play therapy (the natural language of children), and she is currently pursing certification as a Registered Play Therapist.
