“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
HOPE ministers to men, women, and families who have lost babies due to miscarriage, stillbirth, or early infant death, and those who have lost young, teen, or adult children. Grieving the loss of a child is unimaginable. The experience is shocking, scary, isolating, and painful. For some, the loss is fresh, for others, the loss has been relived for years and the longing for the one lost is still strong.
HOPE is both a resource and a relationship for the grieving. HOPE members prayerfully strive to provide recommended readings, discussions, and classes to help the grieving find hope and the way forward in their Christian journey. HOPE creates relational opportunities to foster Christian community and life-sharing among the grieving. Parents just like you are a part of the HOPE community. We learn and practice coping skills together. We comfort one another. We learn, pray, worship, and as a community receive God's gifts of healing and joy. We hear wisdom from those who have deepened their faith and found comfort in their grieving. We want you to know that you are not alone. You are surrounded by others who feel the same emptiness and loss.
