Your Life in Christ

Life in Christ Essentials

Scripture: An abundant life in Christ grows as we embrace the Word of God with joy. Our goal is to apply the principles of Scripture by allowing the Holy Spirit to speak to us daily. “If you love me, you will keep my commandments." John 14:15  For further encouragement and next steps, click here

Prayer: Our dependence on God grows as we pray with a focus on who He is and what He is doing. We seek to delight in daily prayer with God and connect with others in prayer. "Pray then like this: "Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil."' Matthew 6:9-13  For further encouragement and next steps, click here.

Authentic Faith: As we trust Christ and understand our dependence on Him, our goal is to abide in Christ and build edifying friendships with other Christians. "And he said to him, 'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.'" Matthew 22:37  For further encouragement and next steps, click here.

Obedient Follower: Obedience to the call of Christ is the mark of a life changed by the Lord. Obeying Jesus is the result of walking in the Spirit and establishing accountability with others. "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me." John 10:27  For further encouragement and next steps, click here.

Disciple Maker: We follow Christ in learning and living. As growing disciples of Jesus, we seek to replicate, encouraging the faith that makes disciples of others. "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit..." Matthew 28:19  For further encouragement and next steps, click here.

Generous Living: As we live in Christ, we grow in giving and willingly sacrifice our time, money, and resources for His purposes. We serve those Nearest, our Neighbors, and the Nations. "And he sat down and called the twelve. And he said to them, 'If anyone would be first, he must be last of all and servant of all.'" Mark 9:35  For further encouragement and next steps, click here.

Transformational Community: Jesus prayed that His people would be one in faith. As we connect with other believers, the Holy Spirit works through us to strengthen one another. “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you." John 15:12  For further encouragement and next steps, click here.
