Ongoing COVID-19 Outreach Opportunities

HOW CAN I HELP RIGHT WHERE I AM?

Here are some practical ways we can love and serve others today, and everyday:

Write a Card:

Let's flood our local ministry partners with cards of encouragement!  Write a card to one (or more) of these partners this week:

Carrington Place Nursing Home
ATTN: Resident Encouragement
600 Fullwood Lane
Matthews, NC 28105

Carriage Club Assisted Living
ATTN: Resident Encouragement
5800 Old Providence Rd, Charlotte, NC 28226

Charlotte Rescue Mission
ATTN: Resident Encouragement
P.O. Box 33000
Charlotte, NC 28233

Donate Blood:

If you are healthy and able, consider donating blood. There is a huge need. Click here or visit the Red Cross website for details on safety protocol and donation sites near you.

Give To Our Disaster Relief FUND:

As you are able, consider giving to Carmel's Disaster Relief fund. Donations from this fund have been used to support the work of our ministry partners and the food needs in our city through this crisis. Click here to give and designate your gift online or give via check (1145 Pineville Matthews Rd, Matthews, NC 28105).

LOVE + SERVE YOUR NEIGHBOR:

Is there an elderly or high-risk neighbor you could assist by running necessary errands?

ENCOURAGE A FRIEND:

Who lives alone that you could text or FaceTime? Who could you mail a note of encouragement? Who's struggling to juggle working from home and distance learning with the kids? Who could use a meal (either homemade or takeout)?

VOLUNTEER:

Carmel is part of CharMeck Responds  - a coordinated, collaborative, county-wide response effort.  To explore and sign up for opportunities, click here.
