Christina is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in North Carolina and a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. She graduated in 1998 with a Masters in Community Counseling from Georgia State University and a Masters in Christian Counseling from the Psychological Studies Institute (now Richmont University). After her licensure, she was the Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Coordinator in the Behavioral Health Emergency Department at Carolinas Healthcare System-Randolph and previously worked at Carmel Counseling Center in 1999. At that time, her focus was on adolescent girls, families and single women.
After a season of staying home with her three children, Christina returned to Carmel Counseling Center resuming her work with adolescent girls, families, single women and additionally young couples and young moms. Her areas of focus include a variety of issues including self-esteem, anxiety, depression, loss, life transitions, relational communication and parenting. Christina approaches counseling from an integrative perspective combining a Biblical worldview with psychological principles. Her desire is to help individuals and families face brokenness and life challenges with gospel-centered hope while helping them implement practical measures to bring about restoration and change.
