Carmel Missionaries

Derek Bass - The Netherlands (Amsterdam)

European Christian Mission

Tyndale Theological Seminary is a robustly evangelical and confessional seminary in the heart of secular western Europe—Amsterdam, providing theological education to students from all over Europe, Asia, and Africa (see my prospectus). Their students come from places like Pakistan, Myanmar, Nepal, India, China, Rwanda, Ethiopia, The Congo, Serbia, Spain, France, Germany, the Netherlands, and Belgium. Almost all of the students will return to their home countries to pastor or church plant, whereas others will teach in Bible schools or seminaries (the track record is significant). Derek’s role is to teach all of their Hebrew courses (they all take a minimum of 3 Hebrew courses, many take at least 4), as well as OT Introduction, OT Biblical Theology, and other exegesis courses of the OT. With a church planting past, he may teach some practical ministry courses as well. Derek’s passion is to help these brothers preach Christ rightly and clearly from all of Holy Scripture.

Dr. Glenn Collard - USA and Europe

Artists in Christian Testimony International

I work with existing churches to revitalize and clarify the focus of ministry; with new church plants in connecting with concepts and practices of the ancient church and church fathers who were closest in time to Jesus. This is a movement of the Spirit of God to adjust to the changing cultures in which the church exists today and in the future. Same God, same historic beliefs of the true church with Christ as head, but adjusting to today’s realities. I train church planters, create seminars and conferences; challenge believers to engage with the Great Commission to become disciple makers.

Word Made Flesh

Word Made Flesh Bolivia seeks to offer abundant life in Christ to those affected by prostitution in El Alto, Bolivia.  In community, they see to practice and proclaim the Kingdom of God among women in prostitution and their children.  WMF offers a ministry of presence, therapeutic and rehabilitation opportunities, and dignified employment to survivors of prostitution allowing them to realize their full potential.  In the last 12 years the ministry has grown from bi-weekly visits to the Red Light District, to a fully functioning ministry day center, to a sewing social enterprise that offers quality products both locally and internationally.  They also continue to accompany each woman in their spiritual journey through discipleship and mentorship.

Fran Daniel – Washington, D.C.

CRU

Christian Embassy, D.C. staff team members serve as spiritual resources to leaders and their staffs and family members in the Pentagon and other Dept. of Defense (DOD) facilities in the D.C. area; on Capitol Hill; among Presidential Appointees; and among foreign embassies.  Fran’s specific ministry target group is women in the Pentagon and other DOD facilities.  She reaches out to women through evangelism and discipleship one-on-one, in small groups, and occasionally through special events hosted by Christian Embassy or the Pentagon Chaplain’s Office (which provides support for her building access).  Through these various appointments and meetings she seeks to encourage women to draw closer to God through Bible study and prayer, and to apply biblical principles in their daily lives at work and home, and to reach out to their colleagues to share the gospel with them as God gives opportunities.  Fran is personally leading 2 Bible studies and a monthly Bible discussion over lunch.  In addition to these groups, She periodically attends other Bible studies led by men and women in the Pentagon and other DOD facilities, or special events sponsored by chaplains so that she can connect/network with other women, both believers and unbelievers. Her biggest challenge is to meet unbelievers and high-level leaders in a context that offers the opportunity to develop a relationship with them that can lead to sharing the gospel with them.

Family Church in West Palm Beach

The Goncharovs will partner with Family Church in West Palm Beach.  Family Church is committed to reaching their city through church planting, and they have the infrastructure in place to support the Goncharovs in reaching Russian-Ukrainian speaking people. The Goncharovs vision and passion for evangelism fits perfectly in the Family Church strategy and with the task of reaching the lost in this largely un-churched region of our country. The strategy is simple: personal evangelism, missional communities (small groups) and church planting in all cities and big towns.

Mercy Ships

As Director of Staff Development for Mercy Ships, I lead a staff that facilitates the training of staff and crew working both on land and onboard with Mercy Ships. Much of what I do is curriculum development, teaching, exhortation, discipleship, and administration. It's a privilege to invest in people from over 40 nations as they serve the poor and needy. I find it greatly rewarding to see the multiplication factor at work as we disciple crew, and they then minister to thousands on the field as well as carry it back to their home nations when they leave Mercy Ships. Mercy Ships operates hospital ships that deliver free, world-class healthcare services in developing nations. While the Africa Mercy is docked in a developing country, many people will have life-changing surgeries. We also work to help build capacity and expand the local healthcare infrastructure of local communities through partnerships with local organizations. More than 1,500 crew members from around the world serve annually to fill Mercy Ships mission of bringing God's hope and healing to the world’s forgotten poor.

MissionaryProfiles_Ramnauth_2013Jai Ramnauth - Guyana

International Celebration Association

International Celebration’s desire is to reach Guyana for Christ and to help Christians mature and serve. God has moved us in a few directions to accomplish that. We do a shoe ministry where we present the Gospel presentation for children and prisoners and then wash their feet and talk to them one on one. Then we give them new shoes. We also have Celebration Services that are for the entire family where there is praise and worship and the Gospel message is shared. We also put Christian libraries in churches in towns, villages and prisons. That provides a way for Christians to read good books and grow in their faith and Christian walk.

– Haiti and Nicaragua

BlessBack Worldwide

BlessBack Worldwide is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit missions ministry focused currently in Haiti and Nicaragua and based in Charlotte, NC.  The ministry was started in 2010 after the devastating earthquake that struck Haiti killing close to 250,000 people.  Many Charlotte medical providers responded to the disaster on several mission trips to do medical care.  Out of that experience the ministry was birthed.  Today the ministry conducts 8-10 short term “Bless Back” mission trips to each country focused on medical, education, economic, and infrastructure development.  We use people’s God-given talents, gifts, and resources to share the love of Jesus Christ in each country through our ministry partners. My role as Executive Director is to support the US operations of the ministry, raise awareness and funds for the ministry, lead mission trips to and manage staff and volunteers.
