Student Family Resources
Hey Student Families,
We pray you are doing well. We sincerely hope that we will be able to gather in person again soon. In the meantime, we have done some pretty extensive exploration of the best strategy to engage and encourage our students’ faith. We know a consistent community centered around the Bible and prayer is critical in the life of any believer. Consider the words from Hebrews 10:23-25.
"23 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another-and all the more as you see the Day approaching."
To stay connected and encourage one another, Carmel Students will "meet" twice each week during this season:
Wednesday nights: Carmel Students will be broadcasting Student Midweek LIVE on the Carmel Student's YouTube channel. Tune in each Wednesday @ 7pm.
Sunday mornings: We will host online video gatherings for DC @ 10:30am through the Zoom online conference platform.
There are 2 action steps we'll need you to take as soon as possible for your student to join their DC gathering:
Students do not need a Zoom account but will need to download the Zoom app on their mobile device or computer. You can learn more about Zoom on their website and find links to download their app for your device here.
How do I make sure I'm connected? *Action Required - 2 Steps*
For students to participate (please complete both steps for each student):
Step 1: click here to fill out a quick form
Step 2: a parent must read and sign a waiver that can be accessed by clicking here (there is also a link to this site when you complete Step 1). Complete this as soon as possible which will help us get everything set and ready to go for March 29!
We encourage students to participate each week in our online Sunday morning worship at 9:30am, followed by our DC video gatherings at 10:30am. You can expect groups to connect for 30-40 minutes. Our goal is that, for the most part, students will remain connected to the same group and leader they are already connected to in DC. This lets us check-in and care for each other, look into and discuss Scripture, and spend time praying together.
Thanks for your patience and your trust as we continue to partner together to disciple the next generation. If you have any questions please let me know.
