GO SUNDAY 2015
GO Sunday is an annual day that we, as a church, focus on what we are doing to love and serve our Neighbors and the Nations. Pastor Rob reminded us this morning that we have a biblical mandate to make disciples through the Great Commission. In 2 Corinthians 5:14-21, Paul challenges us to remember that it is Christ’s love that compels us. We are Christ’s ambassadors! God is making His appeal (that is the gospel) through us!

How do we live this out at Carmel? We find ministries and people that we can engage. Studies have confirmed what the Bible has already told us in that the more people-focused we are, the more discomfort we will experience AND the more fulfillment and joy we will experience.

To discuss today
1. Who has stepped into your life and invested into your Christ-likeness? How has that relationship changed over time?

2. When have you stepped out of your comfort zone and built deeper relationships? How has that impacted your life?

3. What would happen if all 3000+ Carmelites were to align with making disciples of their Neighbors and the Nations?

4. Where do you fit into the Great Commission at Carmel? how do you love and serve?

Prayer
Father, help me remember the privilege that you have given me to be Your ambassador. I know that too often I get selfish and focus on myself more than with those that need to hear of your love and forgiveness. I pray that we, as a church family, would be still and listen to the voice of Your Spirit, and allow Him to guide us to align and be obedient to what you are calling us to do as your Church. I don’t want to miss an opportunity! Please show me where I can make an investment into someone’s Christ-likeness. Help me have the courage to be uncomfortable for the sake of the gospel.
