This past weekend, we were encouraged and challenged to lead our family in a way that will leave a lasting impact on our Nearest and leave with the tools needed to take your next step.
It began with understanding God’s purpose for the family and taking an honest look at the current state of your home. We were reminded that God created the family to ensure that the next generation grows up to know, love, and serve Him.
Thank you, Dr. Rob Rienow from Visionary Family Ministries for sharing with us – couples from newlyweds to young parents or empty nesters and grandparents and every one in between – this weekend.

In today’s culture, with all the technology we have, we have the world at our fingertips. Too often, we don’t model the discipline of “less” in front of our kids. In a world where you can “pick” everything, isolation and a false view of the world can become your barometer. Come and learn ways to curate your life with God’s best in mind. Presenter: Angela Schlottman
We are always running from one place to another, and we don’t have time to be fully present with our kids. Your kids need your undivided attention on a regular basis. It has always been that way and will always be that way. When we don’t have enough time with them, the dreaded lecture fills the living room. Come and be encouraged in ways to capture one-on-one time that can lead to a pipeline from your heart to the heart of your children. Presenter: Michelle Embry
Unfortunately, we all worry about our kids. The world is coming after them, and it can be hard to balance where we need to protect them and where we need to let them be “in the world”. Too often, that worry turns into extremes. Our kids will suffer disappointments, but we must be the calming presence in their lives. Come and gain tools to navigate the extreme highs and lows of your kids without getting sucked into their emotions. Learn how to recognize what may be impacting your child’s emotions and behaviors, and how to respond in order to help them through those deeper personal struggles. Presenter: David Dixon
It is critical to live life WITH others instead of living in isolation. As parents, we gain valuable insights from others, and we are comforted knowing we are not alone in our challenges. Developing a “norm” and a culture of community for your kids will lead them to a lifetime of seeking healthy community with others. Presenter: Brad Ferguson
Reconciliation is the process of making two parties friendly again after they have argued seriously or fought and kept apart from each other. Learning how to reconcile is a part of discipleship. Learn practical steps to know how to lean into conflict in order for the relationship to be better on the other side. Presenter: Ryan Jackson
To launch “arrows” with intentionality and accuracy, an archer must increasingly master the opposing forces of pushing and pulling. Sometimes marriage feels like that, trying to master opposing forces. Join us as we move toward unity, understanding, and harmony as parents. Enjoy the physical challenge of archery, while encouraging our relational connections and affirm our identities as sons and daughters of the Living God. Presenter: Jim Hughes
As the generations of our family expand, so do our spiritual opportunities. In this breakout, we will capture a biblical vision for our purpose as grandparents and explore practical ways we can help all the generations of our family follow Jesus. Presenter: Dr. Rob Rienow
Kids grow up fast and those times of transition from high school to college to young adulthood can be disorienting for parents. Each of those stages requires an adjustment in parenting. While these adjustments are occuring, there are often challenges around you or between you that pull you apart. This breakout will focus on the adjustments parents need to make to avoid the relational drift that can happen during these times of change. Presenter: Dr. Jay and Jody Hancock
Discipline can be one of the most challenging aspects of parenting, and knowing how to be intentional with discipline can be difficult.
