Sermon on the Mount by Jen Wilkin

TUESDAY AFTERNOONS @ 1:15 – 3:00pm

In his sweeping depiction of kingdom citizenship, Jesus utters some of the most familiar passages in all of Scripture. Most of us have only encountered the Sermon on the Mount in fragments, considering its subdivisions as complete teachings in their own right – a study on blessedness; a reflection on the Lord’s Prayer; a discussion of religious devotion, money, ambition, and relationships. But what if we navigated these three chapters in Matthew as they were originally heard: as one cohesive, well-ordered message, intended to challenge us to think differently about what it means to be a follower of Jesus, a citizen of the kingdom of heaven. Come and learn from Jesus, just as His disciples did.

Sundays @ 9:30am. We typically study through a book of the Bible with a combination of teaching and discussion. We are active within Charlotte including Project 658 and the Charlotte Rescue Mission.

Childcare is available through Preschool, CarmelKidz  and Student Ministries.

Tregde/Tucker

Sundays @ 11:00am. Our group consists of families with high school, college, and grown children and a few with grandchildren. We work through book studies together in a discussion-based setting. We regularly engage in on-site mission projects.

Young Adults

Sundays @ 11:00am. We usually are studying a book of the Bible. Our group will grow when students are home on breaks. This is a group of young adults, some of whom are in college, and some recent graduates pursuing career, ministry, or business opportunities.

Young Adults Home Group

• Primarily for those in late stages of college or stepping into careers.
• Meets Thursdays off of Reverdy Lane in Matthews from 7:00-8:30pm
• Small group discussion walking through a book of the Bible, short time for socializing and prayer time.
• Builds community, provides accountability, challenges and encourages you in your relationship with Jesus and grows you in your knowledge of Scripture.
