Amber Taylor

Amber is an LCMHCA in North Carolina. She received a Masters in Christian Counseling from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in 2011, and a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University in 2025 with highest honors.

Amber joined the Carmel Counseling team in 2024 and works with children, teens, adults, and couples and is passionate about helping people pursue wholeness and well-being. She uses narrative and client-centered approaches working from a holistic perspective. She seeks to help
people better understand their stories and the impact their story has on their emotions, bodies, minds, and spirits. Amber’s approach recognizes that healing and growth arise from embracing the entirety of your being and a better understanding of your life story. She seeks to support clients by cultivating self-compassion, and exploring values, passions, and the complex interplay between thoughts, emotions, relationships, and environment. She helps clients to develop strategies to navigate life’s challenges.

Amber enjoys working with children and families who are impacted by diagnoses such as ADHD, Sensory Processing Disorder, and Autism. She helps children and parents navigate the complexities of neurodiversity and their impact upon care-giving and family life.

Additionally, Amber has served as an overseas missionary and enjoys supporting missionaries and ministry families. She understands the unique challenges and opportunities that come with cross-cultural living and ministry.

Amber is married to a pastor and loves doing ministry alongside him. She has three children and enjoys spending time with her family.
