Pastor Alex has served as the Senior Pastor at Carmel since 2012. He graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1987 where he also ran track for two years.

- equipping the church to ‘make disciples of those Nearest, our Neighbors, and the Nations’
He serves on the Board of FORCharlotte which is a ministry dedicated to uniting the church to transform our city.
Alex and his wife, Christy, have four children and three grandchildren.
