The main blessing which the author of Hebrews is pronouncing on this original congregation and pronouncing on you is that God will equip you with everything that you need in order to live the life that He has called you to live. Verse 20 shows us:
His Power: “who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus,
His Presence: “the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant,”
(See Romans 5:1; Genesis 3:15; and Colossians 1:20)
The word “peace” here literally pictures the binding or joining together again of that which had been separated or divided and is now set as one again. It is the opposite of division. In this place of peace, He will equip you to do His will. His power and presence are sufficient. We cannot fix our sin problem, but He is eternally good and eternally able to present us as set apart through His blood. It’s His power in us. We are an available vessel fro Him to work in and through us to be obedient and work for Him. His equipping is so His will can be accomplished through us. (Phil 2:12-13)
