Carmel Small Groups

Hancock DC

A new DC will begin meeting in Room A217 during the 9:30 service hour on August 28th. This group is an offshoot of the group WEE Connect, a product of small group multiplication.

Childcare is available through Preschool, CarmelKidz and Student Ministries.

Harbor Community

We are parents of young children who recognize our design for a God-centered community as we raise our families to love and serve God and others. A harbor provides a place of safe anchorage for vessels from the open seas. We desire that our group be a safe refuge for its members. Harbors are also a place from which boats are sent out.  We want to encourage one another to live God’s mission as those sent by Him into the world.  We desire to foster a community where we build deep relationships, love and care for one another, and live out the Gospel of Jesus daily.

High View

The High View class focuses on orienting ourselves to a high view of God and his holiness. The Bible has one hero, Jesus our rabbi, savior, master. We study Him and He is faithfully helping us, in community, to follow in His steps to the praise of His glory. Our group consists of both single and married people.

Hills & Valleys

Our goal is to encourage each other to abide in Christ, and to ruthlessly trust that God’s saving and redemptive work is expanding in our world—even when it appears otherwise. We are a multi-generational community. The life we live in Christ is full of sorrow and joy; peace and mystery; fear and hope; pain and the promise of resurrection; hills and valleys.

InterSect

We are a group of young professionals, most single, some married who enjoy connecting socially during the week and on the weekends. We typically study a book of the Bible.

Journey

The Journey is a community that seeks to live an authentic Gospel-centered life as we disciple one another, fellowship, and live life together. We consist of professionals and parents of children ranging from toddlers to teens. Peers facilitate various studies through a discussion-based approach. We truly value doing life together as we aim to connect outside of class to build relationships, and intentionally invest in one another, our church, and the greater community. Please join us if you are looking for encouragement in parenting, marriage, and your relationship with the Lord!

Kingdom Heirs

We have very supportive care groups. Visitors would be made very welcome and quickly integrated into a care group!

Kingdom Seekers

We have a diverse group consisting mainly of couples but we also have several widows and widowers. We typically have good discussion as we study the Word, with lots of interaction. We have regular social gatherings and game nights. We typically study the Lifeway “Explore the Bible” quarterly curriculum.

Lighthouse Community

We typically study through a book of the Bible with a combination of teaching and discussion. We are active within Charlotte including Project 658 and the Charlotte Rescue Mission.
